Sambhota Tibetan High School Bhuntar is situated near Kullu Distt. This school has been newly established in year 2002 and inaugurated by the Education Minister Mr Thupten Lungrig. At the initial stage, we had classes only from VI to VIII and the strength of the school was pretty less. However the strength of the school was drastically increased with the new admission of the students from Chauntra, Manali and from south India Tibetan settlements. At present the school has classes upto X standard and number of students is 135. Recently the school got affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi in year 2004. Now we have classes upto X standard. The school affiliation was initiated during Mr Kunchok Tsering's tenure under the constant direction of Sambhota Head Office Dharamsala and further carried on by next principal Mr Tsering Thundup and their consistence effort made the realization of school affiliation possible within short period of time. The school name has been changed to Sambhota Tibetan High School Bhuntar after its affiliation. There are 23 teaching and non teaching staff. At present school principal is Mr Tsering Dhondup. The school has boys and girls hostel respectively with warden and matron to take care of them.
